08.04.08 Video Uploads - Just about there! (read/hide)

Just a quick update on the video uploader. Its now working fully for FLV and AVI files, and its a pretty easy ride these days :)

Working on the remaining file types and then we're set.

19.03.08 vidFootball update (read/hide)

Hi everyone,

Things are taking shape here as im sure you'll have noticed. You can now see the basic my vidfootball area when you login, its still got a few bugs here and there but over the next few days the final features will be installed.

Also, after alot of testing theres now only one bug in the video uploader. Currently, thumbnails take a long time for flv videos. However, im pleased to announce all other video files upload fine with thumbnails being generated perfectly. Theres currently a 10MB limit until we have finished testing.

Thanks to those who have uploaded so far, its great to see things get going here. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas either comment me or email vidFootball.

14.03.08 How excited are you? (read/hide)

For the new features to be completed?
Well you should be very excited.

In all seriousness (is that a word?), the new features are very close to being done. Many of them live, for example you can now comment each others channels in a similiar way to many social networking websites.

Theres two key features to be completed, your "my vidFootball", which will be your own personal homepage where you can edit your videos, comments, favourites, messages etc. and allowing all filetype uploads.

Once these are complete it will be all hands on deck to create a buzzing community of football fans.

For now, enjoy the hundreds of videos already available!

02.03.08 Important: FLV uploads only! (read/hide)

There seems to be a bug with the new video upload system that we are working on. We believe this is the only problem after extensive testing - however it is a problem.

For now, please only upload ".flv" videos. These will upload quickly, and get your videos onto the site without fail.

To get any video file into this format convert them online in minutes using this site

We'd really appreciate it if you did still upload the videos this way until the issue is fixed.
